These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pathogen Run ("the game", "we", "us"), an Android game authored by Stanislav Zhilin. By installing or playing the game you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. Questions, notices, and complaints go to [email protected].

1. The game

Pathogen Run ("the game") is an Android game built in Bevy + Rust, authored by Stanislav Zhilin and distributed on Google Play under the package com.pathogenrun.app. The base game is free to play with no in-app purchases.

2. License

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play Pathogen Run on devices you own or control, for personal non-commercial use. You may not sublicense, sell, rent, lend, or otherwise transfer your installation or any associated entitlements. The license terminates automatically if you breach these Terms or uninstall the game.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the game except where allowed by law.
• Do not use the game to harass, defame, or harm other players (e.g. via leaderboards).
• Do not attempt to disrupt our infrastructure, including leaderboard or crash-reporting endpoints.
• Do not use cheats, automation, memory editors, or modified clients; doing so may result in suspension of online features (leaderboards, cloud save, ad-rewarded continues).

4. Ads-funded model

Pathogen Run is free to play and supported by advertising. Two — and only two — ad formats appear in the free version:

• A rewarded video that you may opt into via the "last chance" continue when a run ends. Skipping or ignoring it costs you nothing.
• A full-screen interstitial shown between runs (typically every 1–2 runs), never during gameplay.

See the Privacy Policy for the data Google AdMob processes to serve these ads, and for personalized-ads consent controls (including the EEA / UK / Switzerland UMP dialog and California opt-out).

5. Purchases & virtual items

In-app purchases are processed by Google Play and subject to Google's refund policy. We do not store payment information. Any in-game cosmetics, currencies, or unlocks have no monetary value, are non-transferable, are licensed to you (not sold), and cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged outside the game. We may modify or retire cosmetic items where reasonably necessary for balance, security, or platform-policy reasons.

6. User content

Diagnostic reports and gameplay telemetry you voluntarily submit may be used to debug and improve the game. We will not publish identifiable content from these submissions.

7. Disclaimer of warranty

The game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the game. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such limitation is prohibited by law. Aggregate liability for direct damages is capped at the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD 50.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to online features (e.g. leaderboards, cloud save, ad-rewarded continues) for violation of these Terms. Local play remains available. On termination, sections 5 (purchases & virtual items), 7 (disclaimer), 8 (limitation of liability), 11 (governing law & disputes), and 12 (general) survive.

10. Changes

Material changes to these Terms will be announced in the in-game patch notes and on this page at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the game after the effective date of the change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the author's place of habitual residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country in which you reside are unaffected. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the author's place of habitual residence, except where mandatory local consumer law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction. You and we each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class action, to the extent permitted by law.

12. General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms together with the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and the author regarding the game and supersede any prior drafts of these Terms previously published. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
